The US Army’s Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM) – Base Closure and Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Division manages all BRAC and selected Non-BRAC excess properties and requirements while being good stewards of taxpayers’ dollars and responsive to Army Leadership. The BRAC process is intended to identify excess DoD real property and realign resources to allow the DoD the ability to focus available resources on the right number of installations that will fully support mission requirements.
TRG provided analytical, modeling and capacity analysis subject matter expertise related to the Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS), Installation Status Report (ISR), Headquarters Installation Information System (HQIIS), Army Range Requirements Module (ARRM), Army force structure, Army real property classification system, and Army facility planning criteria. The effort includes analyses of training facilities and cantonment facilities. The findings will establish the capacity of installations if all the existing force structure were removed and brigades or other organizations are added to the installation one at a time until the installation has fully utilized its capacity. The analysis will also include the capacity of the current installation, with the current force structure, to accommodate additional missions.
