slide2Retail Operations (RO) is responsible for management and implementation of a fourth-party logistics or 4PL model. 4PL is General Services Administration’s (GSA) new supply chain solution. A 4PL solution integrates all companies along the supply chain under a single point of oversight and offers commercial efficiencies to the federal marketplace. The RO business line manages the General Supply Services (GSS) 4PL solutions program and Classic GSA Stock Stores program. These programs represent approximately $200 million per year in gross sales. The 4PL program is composed of twenty eight (28) stores located both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside of the United States (OCONUS). The 4PL program is targeted at segments of the federal market requiring end-to-end supply chain support or pieces of that supply chain. The United States Marine Corps is GSA’s flag ship enterprise customer.

TRG’s team of professionals provides business process modeling, business intelligence, acquisition support, program support, financial management, and Lean Six Sigma to RO in support of its 4PL solutions. TRG has lead various data analysis and metrics management support efforts by querying various GSA systems through Structured Query Language (SQL) and URSA databases, to include development of performance metrics, development of standardized store reports, analysis of product sales, and analysis of vendor performance. TRG assists in providing acquisition support services to include cost and price analysis of products, market basket analysis, and Smartsheet© schedule management, assist the contracting officer with developing acquisition strategies and assistance in evaluation of price proposals.

GSAFurthermore, TRG staff provides support in the development of various internal financial reports such as store budgets, annualized Business Volume Forecast models and development of Strategic Action Plan Initiatives (SAPI) as needed. TRG has developed marketing collateral in support of Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) strategic growth initiatives, to include a Cost Savings Model that documents savings provided to GSA customers by leveraging the GSA 4PL model. TRG supports the development of various internal and customer communication collateral, to include development of detailed Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) documents submitted to RO customers and GSS Senior Leadership. In addition, our consultants are providing IT strategy to integrate GSA’s applications in the Google Enterprise™ environment and to develop processes for knowledge management.
