Gary Benfield is the Deputy Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert with TRG. Mr. Benfield joined TRG in 2015, bringing his logistics and acquisition support experience to GSA’s Retail Operations Division’s Contracting Officer and Future Operation Director. He is known for helping his clients create organizational efficiencies and cost savings. Prior to TRG, Mr. Benfield’s experience includes logistics, financial analysis, and cost-estimating supporting the US Army’s Logistics Civilian Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) as the estimating/evaluation team lead. He also supported the Naval Shipyard’s Working Capital Fund audit and process improvement support project.
Mr. Benfield’s civilian sector background includes positions with Serco Inc, L-3 Titan, and Resource Consultants International (RCI). Prior to entering the civilian sector, he acquired over 20 years of Naval submarine service with a background in logistics, supply chain, and financial accounting. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Walden University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from St. Leo University. He spends his spare time with his wife and kids and rebuilding old motorcycles.
